Internationally Acclaimed 2022 Cliburn Bronze Medal Winner, Ukraine’s eminent pianist, Choni has mastered the art of phrasing, nuance and dynamics. His transparency and stupendous virtuosity are outstanding. Choni’s playing emanates the aura of the highest artistic goal and finest sensitivity.

Founded by Steven Moeckel, Associate Professor of Violin at Northern Arizona University and former Phoenix Symphony concertmaster. The Orchestra features the talented musicians from the NAU Faculty who will be performing Chopin – Piano Trio, Strauss – Till Eulenspiegel Merry Pranks and Dohnányi – Sextet in C major.

Jamal Duncan, conductor. A favorite of our patrons in the 2021-2022 & 2022-2023 Seasons, The ASU Symphony Orchestra returns to perform: Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations. Enjoy listening to this orchestra and its young performers as they engage with the major works of the orchestral canon.

The String Quartet comprises four Principal musicians from the Orchestra: Concertmaster Frank Huang, Principal Second Violin Qianqian Li; Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps and Principal Cello Carter Brey. All four are multiple prize winners, have appeared as concerto soloists with the Philharmonic and orchestras around the world.

Thur, Mar 28 | 7pm
Tito Muñoz, Music Director. Our classical music favorite for over 50 years, The Phoenix Symphony returns to Prescott. Their 1992 album of the music of Aaron Copland received an ECHO Award, continental Europe’s equivalent of the Grammy award. Performing Mozart – Overture to the Magic Flute, Mozart – Symphony No. 29 and Dvorak – Symphony No. 8.
