The fireworks return to the PAC as Maestro Joseph Place kicks of the season with a bang! Enjoy the music of America with everything from thrilling marches like “The Liberty Bell” by John Philip Sousa, inspiring Americana pieces, and a salute to the Armed Forces. It’s all about the music of America!

Join the POPS Symphony, the POPS festival chorus, and special guest vocal artists under the direction of Choral Conductor, Darrell Rowader for a performance of the music of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein (orchestrations by Robert Russell Bennett), including the very popular “Show Boat Concert” and many other wonderful selections by this prolific duo.

The POPS goes wild west with selections by Aaron Copland (from “Rodeo” and “Billy the Kid”), John Williams (The Cowboys Overture), James Howard Newton (Wyatt Earp Suite) and much more. Bring your date and snuggle up on a perfect afternoon to close out the month of Love! This love-themed concert will feature romance-filled classics from your favorite movies and artists. Enjoy favorites by Gershwin (“Love Walked In,” “Somebody Loves Me,” “The Man I Love”), Delibes (“Flower Duet”), Richard Rodgers (“Blue Moon”) and much more including the very romantic Tchaikovsky violin concerto performed by the fantastic local young artist, Nathan Spencer.
